I'm going to get this kennel for cheap because someone returned it in an unsellable condition! Yay! It's going to be so much easier to take on trips than his giant varikennel!

I put a bunch of cardboard in the Ger-Bull's cage and they were very excited about it! Gerbils love chewing up cardboard!

great pics. have you everhalf filled that gerbill tank with saw dust and watched them tunnel. its better than watching fish. i notice saxon slept alot but by what a great smile when he woke up the cat looks so comfy in the crook of his arm there.

I usually fill it more and more as the month goes on and I have more paper to shred. They are so funny when they burrow through the paper. It actually holds up and keeps their tunnels pretty well.

my daughter used to have 2 in a fish tank and we put saw dust in. every day we would go cave in the tunnels so they had to make more. it kept them occupied for a while.

Really think so?? They're buddies, they were both having a blast! Saxon tends to play rough, he likes to play "bitey face," pounce on and wrestle with other dogs and so does Charlie the Yorkie. How does your dog play with other dogs?

dont you have a wheel for your gerbils ? just asking i keep hammies a 12" wheel is perfect as it doesnt make their backs arch which can cause spinal problems

I don't. I've heard mixed ideas about wheels for gerbils. I've heard that while they are great for hampsters and rats, they aren't necessarily the best for gerbils. From what I've read, they can hurt themselves by chewing on the wire or by getting their toes caught in the wire of the metal wheels and the plastic ones are no good for gerbils because they would chew them to bits. I was advised not to get anything made of plastic because they chew it up and it's not great for their teeth. At the moment all of their toys have been wood, cardboard or paper.
