Hi everyone I'm new new to the site (obviously) and just thought I'd say hello. Over the last few months I've had my views changed on staffs. I have been brought up to fear them and have nothing to do with them, but through some internet searching I found out how great the breed is. I found myself shocked how suited to my life a staff would be and so over the last 4 weeks I've been trying to find a good breed pup. Hopefully I will find the dog for my family soon and the fun can begin Big Grin. So hopefully I will have some new posts soon with pic's of a pup. As I've a lot a free time I plan to do a lot of training with the dog from obedience and tricks to agility, and of course tons of play time. I do have a question at this stage and I get a lot of answers from both sides, and thats how well do the breed take to being around other animals, as many people I know have pets and I don't want trouble, I've been told if the dog is brought up with other animals it will grand, is this true?

Hi and welcome.
With due diligence they can intergrate with any other animal you have except perhaps small prey animals (rodents) and birds. Mine lives with two cats and it has been tough but the happily co-exist now.

hi and welcome from skye buster and me
When we first got skye we had a 10yr old rabbit who used to think he was a dog skye got on realy well with him and they were friends for 5 months but he went to live at my mums as we were going on holiday and ended up staying there until he past at the age of 11
If you introduce them slowly and not allow the pup to play with them they get on well

Hello & welcome!

Staffords can get on with other animals as long as they aresocialised from an early age & introduced properly to friends' pets.

Good luck with your search & don't forget to let us see loads of pics of your new addition! Big Grin

hi and welcome.. you won't regret getting a staffy.. they have so much love to give.
Apart from my 2 gorgeous boys Jethro and Winston,we also have 2 pet sheep, a goat and 5 chooks ( chickens ) and they all get on fine. Socialising is the key ...as many different sights and sounds as you can .. the younger they experience all this the better!

Hi and welcome from me, Millie and Bella. As everyone has said, if they are socialised young there shouldn't be a problem
