Really upset with myself

On 1 April, it will be six months since I gave up smoking. I had quit cigarettes 7 years ago but had started up on Blackstone Cherry pipe tabacco cigars. Last week Iwas really down and hurt so this weekend I damn well bought a packet and I am distraught at the fact I have smoked 2! All that hard work gone. Will have to start counting days again. I am just so mad at myself for letting things get me down to this extent.

We all slip up occasionally, look at it as a blip and carry on

Don't worry about little hiccups on the way, 7 years with out smoking clearly shows you are on the right track.

My Dad stop smoking after doing it for about 40 years, I think he has had the occasioal blip so dont beat yourself up too much you know you can do it.

I agree with the others. You should still be proud of yourself, don't see it as having to count the days again,but see it as you are still 'non-smoker'

Just carry on as if nothing happened! Forget it - you'v done so well up to now, so I wouldn't be too down about it. ><

What's 2 compared to the many that you smoked before? Honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. You had a blip, ah well, now you're back on the wagon ><

Lynne, life's too short darlin .. you had a couple smokes, you no doubt enyoyed them at the time you needed them .. in the great sceme of things ... its no biggy

Important thing is, afterwards, it felt wrong ... and you feel guilty ... thats a good thing, as it will prevent you doing it again soon

Aw Lynne... don't be upset! 7 years is an awesome amount of time to not have had a cigarette! That's more of a call for a well done! So what if you had a couple... you were down and needed something and that something happened to be a cigarette! Stay strong and don't fret... it's a blip, just like Janey said

7 years is a long time and we all slip up on occassion
