Dog friends :)

I know some staffy owners that never take their dog to the dog park for fear of an accident. But i decided to take the risk when romeo was very small and you know what it really paid off because romeo is super dog and people friendly,
but what makes me laugh is, while i know every dog that comes to the park by name,.....i do not know any of the owners by name, yet we will talk for 2 hours everyday. Romeo doesnt have any staffy friends besides his family, but he does have lots of differnt types. there is Bonita (new foundlander) Tilda (Pomaraina) Nuppu (cain terrier) Ketu (norwegian terrier) laura (australian shepard) Bumpsa (Leonberger) Luka ( french bulldog) Mollie (boston terrier) Titi (mixed terrier) Kia (labrador) and Vera (mixed Collie/GSD). Vera is Romeo's fave. he loves her alot.
Of cause Romeo plays with many other dogs there, but these are the ones that are always comming and Romeo loves to play with the most.

We don't have any dog parks here but on our regular walks there's a few dogs I know the name of, but certainly not the owners, TBH I'm glad I don't know the owners!!

We have had a few scares with Billy and mainly little dogs, so we keep him away now, they only friend he has really got is when he goes sleepovers at my sons girlfriends house, shame really.

Oh I forgot he has Moo (Janeys dog)

when i get a camera that works i'll have to take some photos. Its funny some times. Romeo HATES being mounted and will snarl and snap if some one tries, but when Bumpsa decided " I take you NOW!" Romeo is like... "ok" and just gives up because Bumpsa is MASSIVE and even though Romeo hates it he doesnt even try and defend himself cause hes too scared to. but other wise they play pretty well. I have only ever had one run in at the park when romeo was only 10weeks and that was with a dalmation female who decied to mull Romeo. luck he had his thick jacket on and was protected, he bloodyed up her lips pretty good. lucky it didnt put him off other dogs.

Rocky has a few friends at out local park: 2 springer spaniels, a Dobermann, and a Labradoodle are his favourites.

what you say is so true, woody socialised since he was 12 weeks old and he gets along with all dogs - so true about names too, i always ask what the dogs name is and age but never the owner!!!

Woody's favourites are German Shepherds, rottweilers ans labradors!

we have taken lemmy to the park since he was able to go out after his jabs and he always played with the dogs. he had hisfriends. 2 rotties an old female staff and a few other types and they all got on great. lemmy however a few months ago got picky at who he plays with and doesnt much like the new crowd up there so he is never allowed off his lead on the park any more.

yeah romeo can be snotty too. he doesnt always play with everyone who come up to play with him. but those he like he loves. he doesnt seem to like many labs, only Kia.

Marley has Riley (staff cross mastiff) his best Bud and walking companion, Loki his brother and wrestling companion. Lexi and KC two staffy girls. a rottie cross GSD and a 42KG Mutant Lab lol. occationally we meet with Choji his Husky dad Bella his blue staffy mum, silks his staffy aunty and there new malamute pup who is nuts...freezing cold at the weekend and she was laying down an rolling about in a massive deep puddle. he also has a play with a few other staffies we occasionally meet in the park as well.

mine have a few. A staff x, two blue heelers, a golden, a GSD, but they would play with any dog willing. Mostly I find the owners are the ones that don't want to let them play... boo.

WE socialized Suki from the start as well. She has a ton of friends and all the people at the park love her

despite socialising Russell from the beginning, he is still a bit impatient with some other dogs and picks and chooses who he likes at the dog park... but at the moment he seems to be best of friends with an old english sheep dog. they just run and run together till they are warn out.

there is an old scottish lady by us that takes her GSD to feed the ducks every morning. Lemmy always says hello to the dog and then goes for his morning cuddle off the lady as we go on our walk. she calls him her little hooligan cos he always jumps at her. i think he must know the GSD is old and cant really play and move well cos he only ever says hello to it stands and feeds the ducks for amiknute then off we go. they can have friends without playing.

Who are these silly people!? They'll just make the dog fear aggressive and then theres MORE chance of an accident
How lovely that Romeo has lots of friends in all shapes and sizes My Romeo used to have a few doggy friends that I would see every other day but since I started working full time we hardly ever see them. His favourite was a rotty x boxer called Mafia. Same age as him and so full of fun. I love that dog shes beautiful.
From the age of 12 weeks (Or possibly slightly later-I can't remember what age he had his vaccines!) I was out and about with him everyday, making sure he said hello to every single dog we came across and taking him on buses, in cars, on tubes and trains, he met horses, old people, young people etc lol. The VERY first dog he ever met was an enormous rhodisian ridgeback called Gita.
I miss seeing him play with other dogs, he rarely meets a nice one whose owner will let them.

Ty doesnt do friends lol he has Kaos and he's happy enough with that! Kaos has lots of friends tho, Nelson the blue SBT all though thats a love hate relationship (actually mainly hate lol) they love to hate eachother. Mollie the collie, Murphy the retriever, Mischa the pomeranian, Rolo the boxer, Kite the mastiff x rigdeback and his absolute favourite Hermione the 5 month old Pomerianian. Its hilerious to see her chase big old kaos round the field lol

Tilly's 2 best friends are Zarr and Nala (my stepsons 2 English Bull Mastiff's) , staffy called Shimmer, staffy Winston , at least 5 border collies, a boxer , 2 greyhounds and at least 3 Black Labs that I can recall. We always bump into the last few dogs regularly on our various dog walks and its great because the owners are really good and I know I can release Tilly to go running round like a mad thing and play nice or rough , they can all give as good as they get. Zarr and Nala we see all the time and Tilly gets some great garden fun with them.

Maisie loves her doggie friends, sees most of them nearly every day! We have Mason (Staffy x Great Dane), Kinley and Meg (collies), Kimmy and Misty (collies), Kizzie (collie), Sally (lab), Little Maisie (Staffy) and Notch (St. Bernard).

She play fights with Mason, Little Maisie and Notch, and plays chase with the collies, they all have such fun together! Sally the lab is the only one who has no interest in other dogs at all, such a shame!

I love watching them play, they're enjoying themselves so much

Skye loves playing with as many dogs as she can find its just the owners who have the problems so she is mostly on the lead when there are other dogs about esp small ones
Buster is work in progress he can be nervous with some lively dogs and will snap if they get to close but with the gentle quiet ones hes ok so he stays on his lead
They do go off lead and i love watching them play together
