Toes Empty Toes

I did a search looking for posts about toes and found out about Steve's sore toes lol. Couldn't see any posts about problems with sore patches on the upper surface of the dogs feet?. Bit like scaly dry skin , like small calluses , i'm going to try the cod liver oil that some one recommended in a thread but has anyone else had this on the top of the feet?.
