Blue is like Katie, he sticks to my side, like my shadow in the house. Can't even go the toilet in peace. It's like having a toddler all over again.
Outside at the moment is a completly different matter lol. In fact yesterday when I called him I could have sworn he turned around and put two claws up at me Big Grin

thats great,I think with getting lady as a teen, thats why thinkgs can be twice as challenging.

I called her yesterday, she completely ignored.not good as we were at a filed where there were workmen, she almost walked on hot tarmac.

so we are back to lead only training.

today I was even very strong on myself entering the house before she does, she no likey!she challenges.
and I layed her down whilst the cat past too.
its hard work at times, but its helping both her and me calm and get closer.

we can now see very clearly what training she did and didn't get with her last home.
not critisizing them though,I wouldn't know what I know if it wasn't for cesar.

there was this gorgeous staffie on our walk today.
Lady seemed patient with him, told him off when she needed to (good girl)

he picked the little staffie up to carry him home,so comical Smile

Did you find that she ignores more distractions like dogs when your cycling?

oh no your poor bike Sad

yeh there were moments when we had dog run ins but she is alott less distracted generally, easier to handle at home
happier in herself.
less sniffy etc.walks better later on when we do walk.

she sleeps better, more settled in her self.
and loves me more...yey Smile

there was another guy with a bike and a dog.loads of doglets out today.
she made friends with another staffy.my lady making friends!!she was absalute anxiety with other dogs when she first came.like she would kill.
now she is calm ,if they invade her space, she lets em know. Smile

I am gutted for ya about your bike .hope it gets fixed super fast.

I am mainly staying with the bike thing, looking forward to the retractable lead coming.I had to put her on a shorter lead today as so many were about, but she had full lead and run on one track down.

there were a couple of times she went to bolt off,but less than yesterday, she got to the point of walking right beside me today.
can't thank you enough Irish for encouraging us to do this...cheers dood.Smile

No Probs glad its going well.
Would love to get blue socialising with dogs more without him getting all tense.
Before when i didn't know what I should be doing to get rid of his dog aggression we would see dog after dog. Now he is better and I need to get him being social with them, they have all buggered off lol typical
Heading towards the hiring a dog costume from the fancy dress shop idea again.
Do you think he will attack or be friendly towards scooby doo? oh go on

hahahahaha

it can depend on the other dogs too.
sometimes there's dogs she just does not want to go near, some she is now more tolerable.
I wouldn't have her off the lead with them at this point yet though.

he will calm, you are doing everything you need to do.
I might watch cesar again tonight, like to keep myself topped up.

the fancy dress sounds good, scooby doo outfit oughta do it,get your mates to join in.
have a dog party Smile

With Bandit I had a 'control' distance of about 50 yards. Within that I could call him & he'd come back straight away. Outside that & he would choose whether to ignore or not. If there was another dog near, bye bye!

Dempsey suffers from a terrible illness called 'selective deafness'. If there are no dogs/squirrels/cats/crows around and no interesting scents he'll come back. If there are any of the above the illness suddenly flares up! Blushing

Not a hope it hell! IT GETS WORSE WITH AGE & cannot be detected by DNA tests. Also, as your dog gets older it becomes more selective; Sweet wrapper? Yep, I'll come. Wormer wrapper? Not on your life! Hose pipe? Yes, great fun. Shower water? Hide under the nearest cover!
