I love doggy treats !

Well, not personally But because they make your dog do stuff !

So far, Monty sits on command because he knows why I want him to sit, so he can be rewarded with something tasty for doing so, yay. I practice the sit command with him in as many different fun ways I can think of. Tonight, I wagged a treat in his face, and got him to follow me around the front room.. so I danced around the living room and he followed me around the table, and I stopped on a spot, spun around quickly, pointed the treat to him and said 'sit', and he sat within in milli-second

Shortly afterwards, without a treat, I asked him to sit, and he did, and now I'm doing the 'gimme your paw' .. he was blazé about that one for ages, but I kept putting his paw in my hand, and after around 10 minutes (which admittedly was far too long), he would kind of step into my hand as if to give me his paw then dart off around the living room .. he did this several times, but hey, he kinda 'gets it' ! Progress to follow !

Sounds like your making great progress and keeping his mind well active

billy goes a bit mad when we get the treats out, its a great way to train them

They are very food motivated indeed
