Kia came in to our care following a sheltered start in life. She has not experienced the full wide world and she is a shy and nervous girl as a result. Once she gets to know someone she will warm up and be affectionate but she is shy around new people. She will be looking for a paitent new home who can bring her out of her shell with love and patience. Die to her nervy nature she would not be suitable for a home with young children.

Kia is living with two other dogs as well as her brother Zach and is very good with them. She could be rehomed with canine company or as the only dog.
She is living with 6 cats from the age of 6 months upwards and she is very well behaved with them.

Kia is not yet fully housetrained and this is a work in progress. She has been introduced to a crate and will settle in it nicely when she has been left for short periods by her foster mum.
Please note we do not rehome puppies to full time workers.

Kia is due to begin training classes with her foster mum very soon to lay the foundations for walking nicely on a lead and learning basic manners. It is recommended that her adopter attend training classes for further help and socialisation.

All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered (if over 6 months), vaccinated, flea treated, wormed and micro-chipped prior to adoption. If a puppy is not old enough to be neutered then this must be carried out at the owner’s expense when old enough, and the relevant form completed by the vet and returned to Hope Rescue. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK. A Pre-Home Interest Form can be downloaded from www.hoperescue.org.uk and should be returned to dogs@hoperescue.org.uk
