grand designs

anybody watching on channel 4? someone making a house out of car tyres it's pretty good

I was a productin secretary - it was on th spin off show on more 4 grand designs trade sectrects and then I did the stirling prize with him too.

Id seen it before, it was a repeat. Love the program though.

anyone ever remember the old one in essex a think, it was a mansion the couple were building and it wasn't finished before they left the show but never revised a always wanted to no if et got done. it was about 5 years ago

do watch it when ever i see its on...well good program...
wish i had a house like some of them....

the only one iv ever watched was a couple of years ago were they built this manshion out of polystirine blocks it was anazing and the energy saving rating it had was just unbelivable

I liked the one where some bloke had been living in the woods he maintained for years rough and then he got planning permission to build a house. He used loads of materials from the woods. Obviously a wooden house but he also used the clay in the ground to plaster the straw bale walls with. Love watching tradional methods

saw it loads of times but still watch it everytime.. am defo into all this building houses but fixing cars wil be the domain for now
