Russell's new life jacket

As some of you may remember in my post a while ago, I had a scare when Russell nearly went under and I had to go in and rescue him from the dam, well he just loves water and chases my family's Labrador in after the stick when we throw it but I can't ignore his struggling any more, it has always been very stressful letting him swim, but he enjoys it so much. so we bought him a PFD and gave it a test run tonight.

I could not believe the difference it made. Russell seems happier swimming when he is wearing, the OH and I don't have to worry about going in after him and he just goes and goes and goes! without the PFD he would swim back straight away but tonight he wouldn't get out of the water at all.

only time we'll have to worry is if we forget to bring it! we're gonna be popular at the dog park... they have 3 dams to swim in there, i've never seen any dog there with a life jacket on ha ha

It's great Russell can have a swim without you getting stressed out and having to jump in after him. He looks in his jacket.

struth look at Russel go in the first photo!! Yes it is such a worry when our doggies are around the water.. Winston runs around our dam edge when we are down there and my heart is in my mouth each time! It is really deep at one end.

Russell looks like he is certainly loving every minute of it!
