Boisterous Boys

Hello All

I have two Staffy's .. both males .. and both rescue dogs. The older one, Bruce, is 5 and I've had him since he was 6mths and Reggie is 18ths and I had him about the same age. The majority of the time they get on ok but at times they can get quite aggressive with each other. Particularly Bruce who has always been very placid. Neither dog is neutured as my hubby is dead set against it.

Has anyone got any tips to stop them fighting?

hi there and welcome.. I can't offer you any suggestions as both my boys are desexed..there is a huge age gap between them, but they get on fine...sounds like there is just too much testosterone flying around at your place!

Hello sorry I havent any advise only to make sure they are seperated when your not there and change your outlook make sure you can seperate them and I myself would never have 2 dogs of the same sex because of what your going through

This is why most people recommend opposite sex pairings. Same sex pairings tend to fight more. All of the people that I know/know of with same sex pairings that get along well, have one or both altered. For your two I would recommend crating them separately when you are not there to watch them, keeping a close eye on them when you have them out together and refraining from giving any toys or treats when they are out together. Other than that, I really don't think there is much you can do.
