when to take dog out in public

jake's 9 weeks old and having jabs.
when's best time to introduce him to the big outdoors as in other dogs and public places.

I think most vets say a week after second jab is done.....thats what they said when kaos was a pup anyway

As soon as their second series of shots are done they should go out. Try to introduce them to as many different types of people, dogs and situations as you can because it will help them to be well socialized.

I took Bella out for short periods carrying her before she had all her jabs to get her used to all the different sights and sounds, I just didn't let her down on the ground

Normally they can go for their first proper walk a week after the 2nd lot of jabs.

I did this too, but now the wee chancer will still try to get me to carry her if she is fed up walking

As said before. carry him out and drive him in the car (if you are gonna use one) the more he experiences the outside world the better but without any risks.

We just got Buckley back from his second set of shots (he turned 11 weeks yesterday). The vet said that we should be cautious until the third round of shots.

We've already had him out at a few non-dog parks for walks and he has interacted with a few dogs in the neighborhood already. I was concerned that we may have damaged him by exposing him to some other dogs so soon but the Vet assured us he is in good shape.

I'll be glad when the third set of shots is administered in 3 weeks. It is so worrying trying to make sure the little guy is safe and sound.
