my 11 week old girl lipsy doesnt seem to be eating as well as she was...when we 1st got her she had been weaned onto bakers complete puppy kibble...but she seemed to get bored so we changed it to pedigree puppy kibble...now she dont seem interested it has only been today...i think im going to change it again to something else..i want to avoid giving her canned meat if i can help it and stick to kibble only...is there any that anyone would recommend? or the best way to do it if i do have to give her meat as well...i was thinkin that if i did to just give her 1 lot at dinner time when we have our meals?....she was fine and seemed to really enjoy it...i guess like us if you have the same thing it gets boring...any advice would be appreciated Smile

We give Tilly the Wainwrights from Pets at Home , we were told the Bakers is rubbish as it doesn't have all the goodness in it . There are 3 different flavours I think and she got along with it fine , just gone onto the big girls Wainwrights now and she is fine. We do cheat a bit and Tilly gets a Sunday Dinner with us , bit of toast in the morning and a few other treats but she knows her base food is the Wainwrights , it's just for a bit of variation

Wainrights is quite a good dry food at a reasonable price. Whether your pup'll like it or not, though, only trial & error will find out!

If you're feeding a dry complete food you don't need to add meat or anything else to it.

bakers is suposed to be full of aditives like e numbers it has the same affect as giving a child lots of sugar bouncing off the walls for hours on end. our last dog was fed bakers and training was hard to say he was a GS so when we mentioned it to the trianer he said change his ffod and told us about the bakers being crap and we did the change in his behaviour was amazing. lemmy never gets it and he has been easy to train and is good really (pain some times but arent they all) we feed him pedigree but he does get other stuff as a treat. tomorrow is a nice full english brekky for us so he will get saucage as a treat

After reading lots of stuff on feeding staffys I felt quite bad that we give Tilly treats , pleased to see we are not the only ones. She's our baby and with moderation can have a share at our stuff , so odd dinners , toast , weetabix on occasions and I have to confess she is a bit of a sweetie fiend and is partial to the odd gummi bear but its more for the entertainment value in watching her eat them than anything else and whilst I have the gummi bears in my hand I have total power

the biggest problem I had was to find somethig readily available as the most important is to wean them off what they are on and introduce them to the new stuff .. you must never just chop and change . We looked at Iams then the pet shop stopped selling it and it would be Eukanuba and this is different though from the same group. Cost to me was irrelevant . That s why we went to pets at home because they are all over , so if we had gone on holiday and ran out of food or forgot it , we knew we could easily get it .

If you can get it locally James Wellbeloved is excellent.

Wainrights is a good allrounder and I read it was recommended as a good dry food at a reasonable price. If Lipsy will eat it you cant go wrong. Spartan loves it(unless he's getting spoilt by the girlfriends home cooking! Rolling Eyes )!!
