really am piised off

just been out with lemmy and was on the way home with him on his lead (like a responsible dog owner) and bumped into some numpty man thats lucky i never gave him the same tretment his dog gave mine. sorry if this offends but i just have to rant: it pisses me off when someone asks if my dog is friendly and when i say yeh they let their jack russel (that is not on a lead by the way) come near him just for it to nearly rip his face off. was fumin had a right go at the bloke and told him to buy a f**k**g lead. the next person that spouts the dangerous dogs breed to me can shove their mislead info up their *

I don't blame you at all for feeling like that. Maybe the next time his jack russell might do that to a really agro dog!

its getting to where you dont wanna let him near other dogs but he has to socialise but ones like this put him off. he just wanted to say hello and maybe play so he must have been so confused when he put himself in the submisive pose only for the little pig to have a go at him. no wonder some dogs turn ya know. they say the worm turns but we try not to let that happen and to bring them up to friendly

Jack russells are the most aggressive dogs I have met but they can get away with cause of their size and people think it's cute

what an idiot!!! .. a jack russell went for vinnie not long back on one of our walks, it was on the lead, but the woman still let him and didnt pull him back or anything! .. to which i shouted loudly "Aggressive dogs should be muzzled!" LOL

well lemmy is none the worse i think and i am slowly calming down now. he's only 8 months old and still learning the doggy etiquete so to get it right and submit to say hello only for that to happen is confusing for me noever mind him. poor boy

a jack russell attacked sasha when she was only a puppy and she has never forgotten it,any small dog she see's when we are out she looks at like she wants to eat it for dinner!i'd never trust her with one.

i hope he forgets couldnt cope with him being scared or getting nasty the breed already have a bad rep

this doesn't actually sound that funny when I think about Mambo having the snappy jack in his jaws today...
i don't have anything agaist this breed (or any other one) it's just people thinking small breeds don't need any training...

i agree the lisence should be brought back and any dog owner should be made to keep up with training or risk loosing thier dog. it would be hard to police though so theres no chance. lemmy is such a sweet natured thing at the moment and he thinks everyone and every animal is his friend so when this happens he bolts at the moment or just freezes but the day will come when he will have had enough and retalliate and then which dog will get the blame LEMMY. some poeple are numpties and do not realise what they are doing to the canine species with their thoughtless carefree actions.

Chaatzi also has had a run in with jack russell's in the past. A few months ago we were at the dog park having fun with a bunch of different dogs when a lady came in with 2 jack russell's and said 'sorry if my dogs cause any trouble as they can be snappy'... well 5 minutes later one of the dogs jumped on chaatzi when she came within a metre of it's tennis ball.

By the time we got to them Chaatzi was on top of it with her mouth around it's neck. Lucky we got there before she did damage else we would have ended up in all sorts of trouble even though she didn't start it. She ended up with a few scratches on her face and has been nervous around jack russells ever since.

its not all jack russels our last dog was a GS and my brother had a jack and they were best of friends. my brothers dog was lovely with everyone and every thing but like you say dont apologise beforehand about your dogs behaviour do something about it and dont let them off the lead if you know they are aggressive

I don't want to be against jack russels, because they'e just dogs like any other , it's just the owners... as usual.

that really annoys me i had ma dads staffie out a walk a few month ago he was in woods off his lead a saw a guy with a golden retriever so i put homer on lead straight away and the dog ran straight for homer so homer went for its throat and the guy told me to get him under control a just ranted back at the a******* to keep his dog on a lead. I had the decency to put him on lead so why can't other people it annoys me so much that people are so iggnorant.

he does like to be comfy vanessa. the thing that annoys me the most is that we looked into getting lemmy a passport so we could take him to france with us in our caravan. staffies are on their dangerous dogs list so he wouldnt be aloud in unless he had pedigree papers or was kennel club. it doesnt make them any less dangerous if they have papers plus thes eidiots we have moaned about on here wouldnt have this problem with their dogs. i know it goes on the people attakcs and not dogs but it goes to show that just cos a dog hasnt bit a human its still a menace and yet they can go on their holidays mine cant. well we will stay in britain and sod the french

I get that all the time where I live and it's always the little yappy ones! Also some owners are idiots, when a staffy they freak out and pick up their dogs, as if ruby would want to eat/attack it! I always think if you know your dog has a vicious streak then it should be kept on a lead xxx

When i was a boy i got bit by a Jack Russel, the little rascal would not let go of my arm, i had to swing my arm and hit it off a metal fence for it to let go and the owner was laughing there head off looking out there window to this day i never go near they little rascals.
