hi. i have a 8 month old male pup. he had a op to remove stuff from his stomach about 4 weeks ago but never got back to eating like he should. been to the vet a few times. hes on meds to calm the acid down in his stomach for refulx like symptoms. the last time we went to the vet. he still not eating but this time the vet said dont hand feed and just leave him. and he will eat. this is now day 4 and still not eating and hes been sick four times this morning. just yellow bile. any advice would be great. thanks

I haven't had this experience before. I would think that if a dog isn't eating there is a problem espically if it has been going on for 4 days. Is he drinking water like normal or has this changed as well. I think I might be looking for a second vets opinion at this point as well.

I'd get a 2nd opinion. He should be eating by now.

i would get a second opinion too to be on the safe side. to help with the reflux thing though we got lemmy a raised bowl as shown in the picture as he always got hiccups. if the bowl is on the floor the dog has to gulp to get the food up the throat before gravity takes over to get it into the stomach this can cause excess intake of air so different digestive symptoms can occur such as hiccups reflux and burping. try feeding scrambled egg or some kind of nice cerial and see if this gets eaten. the poor wee thing needs his food as you say and for now its anything that will go down

Have you tried pro-biottic yoghurt and really bland foods like grilled chicken breast and brown rice and scrambled eggs?
