I think anywhere is fine. Just try to be be frustrated with her because she will likely try to stop and sniff everything.

Eat, sniff and wee, that's what she'll do.
Just let her explore and keep and eye on anything on the ground.
She will hate the lead to begin with, but as all dogs do, she will get used to it.
Just both of you enjoy it and don't rush her.
She will be knackered quite soon aswell so don't over do the time out.
Good luck and remember the pics

Re: A nice idea for a first walk :)
we took ours around the block (15-20min walk) for the very first walk .. they rather take in the smells and things on the first walk .. start slow and short then start working her up slowly to longer walks (long walks for young pups can damage the muscles) .. the first time we took skye the park we carried her home because she was toddling round the park for a good 2-3hours and on the way home was all up hill so she had a lift lol.

at least when they are so young and you have to carry them home they aren't too heavy!!....I remember me and Tony had to carry Jethro when we went on a longer than intended bushwalk on a warm day and Jethro was flaked out under a tree refusing to budge... he was fully grown and weighed a ton!! ( he still does!! ) Our arms ached for days !!
Amazing it wasn't even that long ago now that we were carrying Winston back home after a walk down the road.. now he can't wait to get out there! The first weeks Winston was taken on walks he picked up twigs.. empty bottles.. fag packets .. straws.. anything he could pick up and carry !!

Didn't you say you've been doing some shaping session? You could always try shaping her to having her head up when walking, then putting a cue on the behavior. That could certainly come in handy in the future, too I'm sure you'll have a great time out wherever you go - I'd choose somewhere rather quiet where she doesn't get TOO many impressions all at once.smitherssss23 wrote: Maxis terrible for hoovering thiongs up and I get really stressed out about it
