little pup

Friends of ours picked up their new staffy pup a few days ago. he is apparently 8 weeks old but he is soooo tiny... he looks even smaller than Russell did at 5 weeks. I'm worried they have been lied to but they have vaccine records which have the date of birth on it and you would think the vet would call them on it if the pups were too young.

*edit* just thought I'd add, he weighs about 2kg, when we got Russell he weighed 4.8kg

the only reason I can think this pup should be so small could be that it came from a litter of 12, could that be it?

I think it might be that his head is so tiny... his body looks ok though his legs seem very delicate..

also his name is Brutus

I think he looks fine and quite handsome.

oh good cant wait till he gets a bit bigger so he and Russell can give each other a good rumbling!

awww Brutus is a cutie pie.. looks like he has lovely colouring too.

Winston came from a litter of 10 and he is going through the most incredible growth spurt..could depend on the build of the parents too maybe..

how cuuute!! .. dont worry they all grow differently like said above, skye was that small at 8weeks when we got her too! =) .. she was the litter's smallest.

They soon shoot up! lol.

When we got Blake he was tiny, on his first jabs at 8 weeks he weighed 1.9 kilo and looked like a rat lol.... He was from a big litter

He does look quite small but then he seems reasonably well developed. Is he definately 100% stafford as he looks quite terrier-typey and maybe hes just a more delicate type staff?
