Barf for the pup, how much?

I feed my dogs for about 12 years now only BARF with some light veggies.
This is my first Staffie, he is 9 weeks. When i look at the schematics for meat it's a bit disturbing me.
He is 5,3 kg and he could have between 260 grams and 520 grams a day.
Wat would you give. The lower end of this or is 500 grams a day more in line for him.
To get him going i began with 260 grams meat a day. He liked it and is hungry every meal. I just now decided to go for the middle and give him 375 grams a day.
I am looking out for you reactions.

Well, I feed my BT raw, but it's a ready mixed raw (Nutriment puppy, Nutriment adult & Rawgeous). To start with I gave him 5% of his body weight and when I changed to adult food (at about 9 or 10 months) I lowered it gradually to 2.5%.

Now I go by how he looks - if he looks like he's putting on weight I reduce his portions slightly, if he looks like he's losing weight I increase slightly.

I would have thought that 500gms would be far too much, and 300gms is probably nearer the mark. Obviously as he grows & gains weight you'll need to adjust the amounts.

It lookes like it will be 260 to 300 grams as you wrote.
He is going well with this, and ones in a while he left a bit so it lookes enough to me too.

Just remember that the feeding guidelines (5% of body weight for puppies) are just that - guidelines. The same as all dog food guidelines.

With Badger (my current boy), he grew so quickly that he was eating enormous amounts & in the end we had to change to adult food & amounts earlier than I normally would - but then, he has ADHD & almost everything about him is 'different'!

Just watch his body condition & take it from there.
