Doggy "Teenage Years" Empty Doggy "Teenage Years"

I've heard a few people mention the teenage years, and was just wondering at what sort of age this kicks in ??????

Roxy has started to become a lot more destructive recently.....chewing her kennel at wits end pulling washing off the line at wits end destroying toys at wits end tipping her food and water bowls upside down and running around the yard with them at wits end etc......
Gonna have to find a VERY heavy and strong bowl or something similar that is suitable to put her water in so that she can't tip it over. Can't have her without water.

I've always believed that it varies from dog to dog. As a general time frame from 6 months to two years. The rebellious behavior and testing of limits ahoud taper off by then. Personally I can't wait.

It starts from about 6-7 months and can last until they're fully mature (18 months-2 years) I've had a fair few problems with Charlie over the last few months, his worst thing now is jumping up at everyone and anyone!

Well, seems like it must be the teen years for Roxy then as she is now almost 7 months old. She did seem to settle down a teeny-tiny bit about a month ago, but now is even more full-on naughty. Oh well................we'll just have to ride out the storm until it passes hurry up!

That's all you can do. Trust me, she will become a right pain in the butt and you'll wonder why you;re bothering, but they all come good in the end as long as we're calm, patient and consistent with them. Good luck, you're in good company and we can all moan to each other about it cos there's a few of us dealing with it. Sigh.........

Ah the trials we go through for out 4 legged friends!! Charlie's being destructive at the moment. My husband bought a belt of his into the living room literally only 5 mins ago. He found it in Charlie's crate, chewed up. So Charlie's in the bad books again at the mo!

Ok, so you can keep Zero until he's passed the rebelious >Smile stage....I'll just admire him from afar and then he can come over when he and Roxy have learnt how to be angel angel

Roxy would just grab and chew a bucket...I still Surprised wonder how she manages to tip her big water bowl over but she's doing it more and more. I need a big cast iron camp oven, she'll never tip that Wink
I've just been browsing the web...maybe this is what I need .....

Know everything, listen to nothing & nobody understands them! Teenagers.

Most go through it, and most come through the other side as really lovely, well adjusted adults. Keep that in mind as you're tearing your hair out for the 1000th time.................
