I'm worried Maxi had this tuff rubber toy from pets at home and while I was out she broke the ring then chewed one of the bears ears off (there ears have wholes in for the ring to get through) and I cant see it anywhere :/ what will happen if she has she had swollen it and how long will it take to see whats wrong... Thanks

what size are we talking here ?

from my experiance , if its small it will pass through , bit bigger it will get brought up in vomit ,

if it lodges , dog will likely stop eating

Very true. Suki eats everything and no one can supervise their dog all the time. As long as the object wasn't a hrad material so it could be sharp she will most likely be okay. If you don't see it pass or her eating habits change or you have other reasons for concern then off to the vet.

My wife wanted to tell you that she was very impressed with how responsible you are in caring for your dog. I was in my early 20s before I was responsible enough to take care of myself nevermind a dog.

you arent asking any questions we didnt all ask at first.i panicked when woody was small and ate things he shouldnt but these staffs are very hardwearing. i have lost count of toys woody has eaten bits of and i dont stress so much now although its always a good idea to ask when unsure, for future reference Woody has been ok with(and depend on quantity):

plastic
rubber
wood (his favourite)
dog poo
stones
rope (although i had to pull this from his bum, get your mum to sort that)
leather (not so happy about this one as was my sofa)

..and if it is any consolation Winston eats anything he can put in his mouth.. he is always finding old tea bags in my garden ( I threw them in there way before we got Winston ) and he pulls the bark off our trees, rocks and gravel, I have an old bottle collection of bottles we have dug up here, he manages to get to them (??) and I find him in his bed trying to chew them, he has tried to eat our shoes ( Jethro never touched our shoes as a pup ) I see him eat chook and sheep poo... Yes puppies keep us on our toes, but you have the right idea, any problems the vet is the best place to go ( after asking on here of course!! hahah..) ..well done!
