Dogs & cats Empty Dogs & cats

I think rewarding Rebel for gentle interactions with the cats is working. He wouldn't do anything to my female cats but he was being very rough with Crash my young male cat. Crash is so soft & loving & just lies meowing when he gets hurt. They are building a nice bond lately

That is exactly what Rebel was doing. My female cats just give Rebel a warning look & he leaves them so poor soft Crash was getting it non stop. I've been working on biting in general & teaching gentle. With the cat I've had to supervise a lot & get him to play with me instead to lure him away. Then when he was tired & calm around Crash start rewarding & saying gentle. I think it's just being persistent & stepping in before cat play gets into the hyper excited stage
