Hi from Ruby & myself. Ruby is our beautiful 3½ year old rescue Staffy. She's a happy healthy girl who enjoys life to the full ....

She has enriched our lives and I couldn't imagine life without her now. I've had dogs all my life (I'm now 50), but never staffies. My only regret is that I didn't discover this wonderful breed sooner.

Welcome from me and Misty. Congratulations on the rescue- Ruby is a beauty.

That second photo is absolutely heart breaking and to go from that to the dog in the first photo is just wonderful!! Look at her eyes now- she is a different dog! She just looks beautiful- her coat must be one of the shiniest Ive ever seen, plus her colouring is just stunning. Look forward to seeing many more pics of this gorgeous girlie Love Struck

First off, 50 isn't old raised eyebrows

and second, well done on rescuing Ruby. What a transformation from when she first came home to you, she looks the picture of health now. I'm not surprised that you wonder why you've never had a Staffy before as now that you have, you know that no other breed gives love n loyalty in quiet the same way Smile

Thanks for the welcome everyone! Yes there's been a big difference in Ruby since we got her and not only physically. When we first got her she was extremely dog reactive. She can just about tolerate another dog now. Yes Ian I agree 50 isn't old at all. Don't think a staffie would allow you to get old anyway.

Well done on giving Ruby a home. That's a familiar sight for me, so many of the staffies who come into rescue look like that - underweight, dull and given up eyes. It's wonderful to see the result of love, care and patience.
