Our new puppy!
Hello!
After a long time researching and planning, we finally brought home our little Violet.
On her first day home, we thought she was the worlds most perfect dog - didn't cry at night, would only do the toilet outside, and just wanted cuddles. Now, we are just happy that she's allowed us to keep our fingers and toes as we sit on the floor whllst she sprawls out on the couch She cries all night, sleeps all day, and won't eat her food because she's too busy trying to eat us. But she's only a baby and she's definitely learning things - you can practically see the wee cogs turning in her head as she thinks things through.

She's amazing! She's got a right belly on her already! We got Muggle at 8 weeks as well, absolute nightmare for months! Worth it though.

I was worrying about that at first, but now I'm worried she's too skinny! I'd be happier if she ate a bit more - maybe she took offence to us calling her a pot belly pig? :p

Dont worry about her weight, she looks fine. They are chunky little tykes when they're babies!

Re: Our new puppy!
Welcome!
Right nice tongue your pups got there.
As per the 180 turnaround - there's a few of us all in the same boat. But after 5 days, they start turning around (that fast!)
Just keep up the good fight!

Re: Our new puppy!
16 months?! That doesn't sound too promising! So far, she understands 'no' and 'leave it', she just chooses when she wants to actually take any notice. The other word she understands is 'treat', funnily enough...

Hello and welcome - the joys of puppys eh? I got rhia about 2 months ago and at first I couldnt ever see her learning but she has picked things up amazingly fast. She would do anything for a treat which I think helps...

They always understand when you are asking if they want to eat.

Re: Our new puppy!
She looks cute, but I was nearly in tears at the hole she put in my leg earlier tonight! Violet Violence. (to be fair, we check her teeth, paws and ears daily, and it looks like new teeth are coming through - she's out first staffy though, so could be wrong?)
