Help please
As I was cooking dinner tonight, howie was looking bored so I gave him some raw hide, it wasn't a bone it was just a flat piece about 5-6 inches long and 1/12-2 inches wide, he was chewing away turned away then back again and it had gone!!! He didn't make any noises and he's not acting any different. Do I need to worry or will he be ok and how long should it take to pass?

Re: Help please
Opps.. Just keep an eye on his motions. As long as he's still passing food out the back end he should be fine, if he goes off his food and doesn't eat for a day or two then best pop him to the vet but I'm sure he will be fine
Have to say though that we don't let Flo have them for this very reason.

Re: Help please
I know, I'm kicking myself we normally give him big ones so when they get a bit small we can take them off him. I didn't think he would destroy this one in 2 mins

Re: Help please
Hi I never gave cooper rawhide till he was about 4 months old as he would swallow things whole I gave him the little rice bones as these are easier to digest the acid in your pups tummy is different to ours and should break the raw hide down hope this helps
