Cuddles

Me and my husband have a difference of opinion and hopefully u experts will help settle it.
Ruby's 10 weeks and loves cuddles and snuggling in. She's really good and sleeps in her cage at nite and if I can't supervise her through the day. But she loves cuddles and snoozing on my lap. My husband says I'm spoiling her and I shouldn't be cuddling her so much.
I just think she's so young and will still be missing her mum and littermates so needs a bit of comfort but he's saying no.
Am I making it difficult for future training or should I just enjoy the cuddles.

It won't affect training at all. Only with working dogs do you need to keep a personal distance sometimes, with pets it makes no difference and is probably beneficial in creating a bond.

Unless you are prepared to do it for the next 15 years or so, stop now!   I am, so I didn't! Theia is 11 months old, and she still snoozes on the sofa with me!! But, she will get down when told, and doesn't whine to be up. And at 10 weeks, she is still very young, cuddling will help her bond and settle.
Enjoy it, they aren't tiny for long!

The dog is more likely to respond to your commands a wee bit comfort does them no harm.

I agree, Suki is 4 years old and 25kg and she still believes she is a lap dog

aww the cuddles are the best bit, I adore them

Well....me and my hubby always had the same discussions...turns out he was a bit jealous as he was a bit pushed out. . Needless to say I carry on with the cuddles with my Darcy x

My boy craves human attention all the time...no harm in cuddles at all, hes my baby after all so he can have as many kisses and cuddles as he wants

I let Bo sleep with me the other night as a treat and at 6am I felt a heavy weight on my face - he was half laying on my shoulder with his big wide head right on top of mine. He was asleep again straight away but it took me about half an hour.
