Re: Gunge
make a cup of chamomile tea and let it go cold.... use a cotton ball to wipe her eye with it.. that can help. Unless of course she has something more serious the chamomile tea will clear up gungey eyes.... Do it a couple of times a day.. Winston's eye was yukky the other day.. did it 3 times that day and his eye was back to normal the next day. If it is something more serious then it will probably mean a trip to the vets though.

I would pop to the vets could be conjunctivitus (sp) and at that age and with the licking could be very much her first season, are her lady bits swollen? Xx

Re: Gunge
I would say probably coming in to season. Keep an eye on her, if her lady bits start to swell then keep her away from other dogs!
By all means bathe the eye with chamomile tea (chamomile is a natural mild antibiotic) but if it hasn't cleared in 24 hours I'd contact a vet.
