Growth/Runt - Is she the right size?
Hello
So, I rescued Quinn from someone that had no time for her, and she mentioned that Quinn had some issues with food, she doesn't eat much, never gets hungry etc. She seems to eat okay with me, some days are better than others, but generally I'm not overly worried, the vets say she weighs a good amount etc.
I'm just worried about her growth (when I say worried, I don't mind if she's small, like I'm not going to be heartbroken if she's tiny forever), because compared to other Staffies that I see at her age (6 months) she's TINY and so slim, even her face!
I'll put some pictures in, and could anyone tell me if she looks okay/healthy/an okay size/shape for her age?
Also, if she has lost some growth from malnutrition as a pup, will she gain it back eventually or is it a permanent thing? The vets don't seem to have any answers haha.
Again, I don't want to seem like I care about how big she'll get, she's my baby and I'll love her even if she's a titch! Haha I just want to see if she's looking okay for her age, compared to some of your pups!

Re: Growth/Runt - Is she the right size?
It's kinda hard to judge from the pictures but she looks fine and gorgeous to me
They way I judged the food amount was by feel. If I can feel my Flo's ribs then as far as I'm concerned she isn't overweight, however, if I can see the ribs then I feel she is slightly underweight and will up the food a touch.
As far as being malnourished as a pup, I really wouldn't know if it would affect adult size to be honest. You might well find that she will have a growth spurt still as 6 months isn't full size anyway

She's gorgeous. Looks to me like she might be crossed with something smaller - perhaps a smaller terrier.

She has an athletic frame and I will bet you now she will be a right little speed freak. my girl is the same but has the same power as my boy but more endurance. she is going to be a runner thats for sure. you might want to start thinking about agility etc to help her burn of that energy, being small doesnt necessarly mean runt dont get caught out by that. she looks very fit and healthy
