Whooo! Finally!

I'm sorry but I cannot contain my excitement...
Cody had his first mess free night in his crate!
He's only been with us since Sunday so it's not taken him too long to understand. We tried every which way to make it so that he wouldn't mess in his crate but he kept pooping and then lying in it
So I took all the bedding out so it was just the plastic bottom and he hasn't done anything! I think because it soaked into his bed he wasn't that bothered but now he would literally be sat in it he wont. I don't think we were being unresonable with our time frame (11.pm - 4.30am with no food after 6pm) and I always make sure he does his business before he goes into his crate.
Anyway, woke up this morning to a crying Cody in a clean crate so I let him out and he went straight over to the pads and did a wee
He got lots of love this morning! Although after breakfast he pooped on the floor rather than the pad 
He's definately getting there though.
He knows how to sit, stay, "calm down" (basically lie down) and i'm working on paw. Not bad for 2 1/2 days work!

Its so rewarding when you can see that your hard work is paying off.
I took him to the vets yesterday for his check up and first jabs (he didn't have any with the breeder so i'm reluctant to let him toilet outside at the moment) and I got 4 weeks petplan insurance and one of the questions on the form was "Does your puppy have any aggressive tendancies"...he was in my arms fast asleep whilst a little girl was stroking him...yeah, course he's a devil dog

Another mess free night last night!
Whoop! I think he's finally getting it! Although, his bed was out to dry this morning and he decided to wee on it...back into the washing machine it goes
