Concerned
Hi guys,
So might sound extremely silly.
Recently people have been commenting on my 8 month olds balls, saying there quiet big.
I'm noticing it myself now. He hasn't had them done yet, which I'm still considering.
Is it normal for them too be quiet large?
And also what are people's thought of having his balls took off.. I don't want to use him for puppys but I hear if there chopped it can cause them to be down and depressed.
Please help me guys cause now I'm worried
Thank you
From Molly and Max

Re: Concerned
I think it best if you see your vet about this condition, they will be able to give a medical diagnosis and advice on what steps to make next.

Re: Concerned
People used to say that about Zeus too - that he had big balls - but that was just because they were bigger than any other breed they'd have seen. Even now when I compare a staffies to another breeds, they are fairly large. As said before me, if you're concerned, then definitely go to the vets.
When it comes to neutering, no matter how much research you do, you'll always find conflicting evidence, I found its personally down to you if you wish to do it or not. Me.. I'm not doing that to Zeus unless there's a medical need for it.

Re: Concerned
Not a place i usually want to look but staffys compared to other breeds are on the large side. Could be they look bigger as most breeds have longer hair in that area and they arent that noticeable. Im sure the vet will give you reassurance and advice.

After reading this...Bane's are pretty big too! But that might be because most other male dogs I see don't have any!
As goldie said it is down to you as the owner. Our vets said get him done at 6 months. After doing some research we decided we are going to wait until about 18 months when he has fully matured and even then may not have him neutered.
