Worried is this ok or shall I go to the vets Empty Worried is this ok or shall I go to the vets

Hello again lol sorry for being a pain and posting all the time but need some advice, Harley has started limping today on his left back leg he had a big zoomie earlier and i think he might have tweaked something. I took him out for a light stroll around the field earlier and he seemed to walk it off but when he gets from his bed he starts limping again. Just wondering if I should take him to the vets or just take shorter walks until it gets better.

Thanks

I'd wait a bit as well to go to the vet. How long are you walking him each day. General rule of thumb is 5 minutes per month of age two or three times per day.

Thanks everyone his leg seems to be fine today now, he must have knocked it having a mad 10 mins yesterday.
Jstaff- he has two 25 min walks a day and 10 mins round around with the ball if I take him for a short walks he is not tired and has a lot of built up energy.

cheers

The time restrction on the walks is to let his joints and tendons devolp fully and prevent injury not only now but later in life. Running around off lead is okay for as long as he wants but walks on lead are forced and can cause inury. Mental games and training will help with the energy.

Zeus is always getting up to mischief and ends up limping more often than not.. as a general rule, I give it 48 hours.. if he's still limping after that, then I know there's a problem and off to the vets we go. Most (if not all) the time, he shakes the limp off and is fine the next day.
