Cool Humpy Harley

Post by b_phippsy Mon Nov 17 2014, 21:20

Hiya everyone, firstly just want to say how well Harley is coming on. His nipping is a lot less and he is turning into a lovely little man.
I was just wondering if anyone else pups were humping their toys at 15 weeks old?
He occasionally tries to hump arms and legs but stop him before he starts is it still ok to let him hump his toys (particularly fond of his rabbit ironically LOL)

Thanks

We always told Zeus off when he humped, don't know if that's right or wrong but was just our preference. When he was a pup, he'd hump his teddy bear alot and also tried humping each member of the family at any one point (to assert his dominance most likely) but we always told him off and he soon stopped. Haven't had an incident in a few years now lol.

At that age he's probably just testing things out really lol! There's not likely to be anything much behind it, but also not a behaviour that dogs or humans will tolerate -so best to distract or time out if persistent.

Sounds like he is coming along nicely Smile

Bane went through a phase, tried it on with a few people and got a firm telling off, but we let him have his moments with his teddies!
