Keeping Sky entertained whilst I am at work! Empty Keeping Sky entertained whilst I am at work!

Post by brophski Wed Oct 15 2014, 17:00

Hi all,

Next month Sky is the great age of 2, and finally starting to grow up lol....So I'm just starting to leave her in the house alone, doing 1hr here, 1hr there, and so far so good, nothing chewed bar her toys!! I have kong's stuffed with treats for her when I initially go out, but is there anything else I can do/setup to keep her entertained.

I recently came across one of those automatic dog ball throwers, does any one have one, and if so are they any good. I see they retail for around £100.00 which if it keeps her entertained, would be a small fee.

Thanks.

I only ever leave stuffed kongs for Vin, or a kong ball which rolls with treats inside. Never heard of the auto ball thrower spounds great in principle but a lot of money if it doesnt work. Smile

The Kong is a good thing to leave. We really just make sure to walk Suki before we go and have not had any problems since she was a pup

Have left Madge for four hours without problems, walk first thenb stuffed kongs and stag bar and radio or tv on. This is the max I would leave her though.

We make sure Rocky has a good walk before left with the radio on. I am a bit of a worrier so wouldn't leave things like stag bars for him while I am not there in case he should choke. So long as he is tired he will just have a snooze on our bed while we are out.
