Hi

Just looking for some advice. Gordon has been really good with his recall off lead and I thought we had cracked it!!. But been out with a friend who has a staffy today on the park and he was a nightmare!!. running up to 3 different dogs totally ignoring me and trying to hump another male staffy!!. He was not playing with my friends dog like he normally does but sniffing the ground like crazy, I was wondering weather there may have been another dog on heat he could smell?? needless to say he was back on his long lead, I really thought he was getting there with his training. Just to add that he is going for THE op next Thursday. Any advice on what you think? or do you think he's pushing the bounderies again x

may be just a one off hopefully, try a long lead on him for a short time so you can keep control but practise his re-call Smile

There are loads of smells about at this time of year. My Flo will be trotting along quiet happily and then make a 90 degree turn as she smells something. I do think its hard for them to concentrate on you at this time of year. I would agree that popping him on a long lead for a few walks is the best way forward just to see how he goes Smile

I think hes just pushing the boundaries, try distracting him with a toy or food?
