Timescales for training Empty Timescales for training

So, I'm hopeful Max will be a well behaved dog  day dreaming but I'm curious as what to expect and when, so as not to be unrealistic.

At the moment he sits on command but that's about it. He thinks he's getting a treat every time he hears "good boy" but I'm trying to give more cuddles than treats as a reward   thumbs up

One thing we can't seem to curb though, is him nipping at feet and hands. I think my dog may have a sock fetish  Laughing  He isn't biting, it's more a soft chew, but we're just worried it will turn into biting -especially with the kids.

Any experience of this would be welcomed  praying

Sounds very normal - keep up the training and they learn with patience and consistency - as for foot nibbling, welcome to puppyhood Smile

Feet seem to be a favourite at that age! Just keep consistent with stopping him and he'll be over it in no time Smile

The rest of the training time depends on how much time you put in and how motivated he is! Bane learnt most of his tricks by about 4 months but he has just turned 1 and still has pretty much no recall and rarely listens outside. We are still working on it Smile

Very much and so is consistancy. Everyone needs to treat him the same way and use the same commands. You should also get your children involved in the feeding and training routines.
