He's been sneezing all day and coughing like he's got something stuck anyone else have thid it's like he's allergic

Could he have got a piece of trotter stuck in his throat? Did you watch him eat it?

They can be allergic to pork, although I would expect him to have come up in bumps and be itchy.
He may just have something stuck! A trotter is a big thing to introduce this early on.

Yeah I didn't take my eyes off him while he ate it!!! He hasn't even got into the bone of the trotter. All he's eaten is the meat on the top, and the ends...it's barely touched, he's eating and drinking fine, we got home as we went to Dawlish carnival and he hasn't done it since we left Dawlish, and he came home and wolfed down a load of food and drink and hasn't done it since, I looked down this throat and I couldn't see anything, I also was feeling his throat and he wasn't coughing or sneezing when I pressed his throat.I'm still worried tho.

Keep an eye on him. If he starts itching a lot and comes out in bumps or a rash then he is allergic and you will know it, if he has diarrhea and is sick he may be intolerant to pork.
Unusual behavior but it may have been because of something else

Bane really struggles with trotters too! They are pretty tough things to get through so if he has got some meat off that's a good start

He's already got a rash from his grass allergy so I'll see if it makes it worse, the way he was doing it was like his throat was itchy...

I've just changed my order with the dog butcher just incase and took any pork off!!! As everyone knows I am mental and I will worry all night now aha. He's soundo in his bed, I tried to look at him and he walked off aha

Yeah there is hardly any of the trotter gone, I was gonna get him some piriton earlier anyways for his grass allergy, as when I spoke to the vets they said that's what they would recommend to use, and when I said how much would I need to give him they wanted me to book an appointment!!!! Felt a bit like it was for money's sake.

Unfortunately it quite often is! There are a few lucky people on here who can call their vet for any advice and get it for free over the phone! Very jealous

He sounds like he will be alright They sure know how to make us worry!

He's only coughed twice, since we've been home, he's fed with me looking at him now, still worried

You no with raw or cooked meats how much should i give my dog as not sure.She is 10 month and like i say 16-16.5kg so whats this in grams per meal can anyone help?

She needs 2-3% of her weight, so roughly 240 grams of meat per meal. Or 480 for the whole day. I worked that out by her weighing 16 kilo, maybe get her weighed first!!

Cheers so if giving her 2 meals a day just half it.But it dont matter if its a bit over.

Yeah so she would need 240 grams of meat in the morning and 240 in the evening.

Sorry ask again mate but would that be say throughout her life as she gets bigger and older.Say for instance she gets to 23kg will she then eat more food as dont want her get fat?

As far as I understand it always goes on weight!! I think the more they weigh the less they need, so as long as you get her weighed, and follow the guidelines it will be fine

Have you tried turkey necks at all ?

He loved it, but he might have a shard in this throat so I don't think he will get one again
...I've ordered duck necks for him they are coming next week
