puppy going into heat signs?
What signs should i be looking for, she is over 5 months the now and is picking at her food the last couple days ,so not sure if she is coming into heat or something else. She is eating it just takes her forever and not for a couple hours in the morn.

Going off food can be a sign, mood changes, swollen lady bits, boys paying her most interest on walks x

Re: puppy going into heat signs?
Going off food can also be a sign of teething at that age. Saz had given good indicators above

I never had a clue with Moo, she was booked in for her op the day she came into season! Just woke up and she was spotting. When she actually was in season her swollen lady bits where the tell tale sign Xx

I was also going to suggest she may be teething too.

Thanks folks doesn't seem to have other signs, will keep an eye on her but she is eating (eventually) so thats good.

Re: puppy going into heat signs?
Hi Colin
Toots is 6 months now, and about a month ago completely went off her food.
She was loving her raw diet then just wouldn't eat it. Think it's a teething thing.
She likes nature diet now and there's no sign of a season yet.

Re: puppy going into heat signs?
Her last 3 poops have been very soft but not the runs and they are at times she usually does them, so could well be teething. She is still behaving normally though.
