not so cute this morning - she just nipped me and she has really gone deep! my own fault for playing scary puppy games with her but OW it hurts! Now how am I supposed to clean a bite properly? I have a deep hole in my thumb from her big top tooth and its bleeding like hell. Will the bleeding clean it or do I need to nuke it with TCP and a syringe?

Run it under a tap and squeeze it why it is under the running tap making it bleed then apply some antiseptic and cover. Are you up to date with you tetanus??

lol yes, I worked with horses up until last year and you only have to mention horses in A&E in relation to an injury and they have a tetanus in your backside faster than you know whats hit you.

think its mostly bruising making it hurt as she got her tooth stuck in and then tried to pull back and let go as she knew she had overstepped the mark, but had her tooth snagged in my thumb so tore it a little too.

Just run it under the tap then and try to squeeze it I know it may be painful but generally at A and E we would treat the same as a needle stick injury hope this helps. It may be sore for a couple of days just keep antiseptic on it and covered.
