Poor Jed lost the tip of his tail

Poor Jed lost the tip of his tail, it got caught in the door when i shut it this morning, he wouldnt stop wagging his tail and there was blood everywhere, he was at the vets all day because if they couldnt stop the bleeding they would of had to amputate some off it, he is home curled up next to me bandaged up and heavily sedated so he doesnt wag his tail too much.
My poor baby, i am devastated, the cute little white tip on his tail is gone now

Jed is doing well, except for the visible bandage you wouldnt know there was a problem, his balance hasnt changed and doesnt appear to be any nerve damage, Jed goes back to the vet on Monday and if all well the bandage can stay off, he is missing his visits to the dog park but hopefully he can go back next week. I cant believe the bandage is still on, he has had a few little nibbles and is listening when i tell him to leave it, keeping him quiet and stopping him from wagging his tail has been a challenge but overall he is being a good patient   , i still cant believe i hurt my little baby like that

Sorry to hear about little Jed.  Bedsides the trauma of the situation for the both of you, I'm sure he'll be fine in time. Just a bit more unique looking and he won't run funny or anything...    All the best from Kaz, Lloyd & Zeus.
