don't know why but..........

at 18 months my staffy as suddenly started eating his own turds!
i'm very concerned about this as he is well fed, exercised like an athelete
and very happy, any ideas pleeeeease!!!!

What is he fed?

This can also simply be a bad habit. If you want to break the habit, you have to be vigilant and teach him a strong leave it command. Unfortunately, some dogs just do that. However, kibble fed dogs don't digest all the proteins in processed foods. I don't know what you do for food, but a raw diet could help as they go much much less and they more fully process the nutrients so it doesn't smell or taste as "good" to them.
