Biting problems Empty Biting problems

Hello everyone,
So as you may or may not know my mum bought a puppy staffy, he's now around 11 weeks.
When we first got him he was quite a timid puppy but now that he knows us and the house, he's a complete terror, I've always thought training a puppy would be easy since I had a grown dog and I was able to train him just fine, but I was wrong.
Vinny will bite everything and everyone, he will stop for a little bit when told to stop but when you not looking he will go and bite it again. It got to the point where he bite me and when I told him to stop he kinda backed away and went to bite me again. Obviously I know he's playing and that his bites don't hurt but like I said it's not my dog it's my mum's and she has 2 little baby twins, as well as young children and when Vinny gets older if he carries on he will be hard to handle and his bites will start to hurt.

So what's the best way to go about biting? For example when he's in my room and bites the floor, what should I do?..

Distraction works well, so when he starts, distract him with a toy instead.

We always tell Bane no once, if he doesn't listen we move him away from us and ignore him, or put him in the kitchen for a time out. He's getting there and is a lot better than when he was a pup but he has the odd crazy time where he tries to pull up the carpet or bite my arm off Smile It's just repetition and constistancy.

I always thought this too haha sooo wrong! Puppies are bloody hard work!! As you know he's not meaning to be naughty, he's just exploring with his mouth! Is he getting sufficient outdoor outings with lots of positive interactions with other animals and people? Is he eating a good diet? Does he have LOTS of different toys, with different smells and textures to them? And puppy food stuffed kongs to distract him when he's particularly over excited? If he's teething that will make him even more uncomfortable so he'll need something cool and soft to chew on to ease his gums. And is he being taught to settle? Does he have a crate or his own place to go for some quiet time, to prevent him from getting over-tired and to teach him how to be calm?
