So I take banes out for his walk, it's always longer at weekends. Thought I'd go a different route where we would pass a few different fields. Let him off his lead, don't go far, call him back, give a treat etc etc, done this through 3 fields. On way home just had to pass one more field, all feeling tired now, I let him off he was fine, again not going too far then we went around the corner and banes saw a JCB. And he was off!!! I called him, oh no he wernt having that, so I followed, and followed and followed, I'm sure it wasn't a pretty sight but who cares, anyway up to th golf links he goes, through a muddy lane that was covered in brambles either side, me still calling him in the calmest voice I could muster. Then he appears at my feet, plastered in mud shaking from head to paw. I could of hugged him if I wasn't so knackered from all that running. Anyway home now, hugs given and now he's having a rest before his bath. Poor bugger don't know who was more scared him or me. But all safe now thank god

Ooooo! this is everyone's nightmare, your heart would have been in your mouth. I'm glad Banes was safe; and perhaps now will stay a little closer to you,
Hugs to you and Banes

It must of scared him a lot, he has slept since we got back, he's only moved to come closer to me or get on my lap. He's totally ignored my daughter which never happens, he was growling a lot in his sleep too. He's in bed now, quite happy to go in his crate. I'll see how he is in the morning.
