Having a bad day
We are having a nightmare evening with radar tonite . So far she's been doing great with the toileting we take her out and she poops and pees . The peeing in the dogs beds stopped and we wake up most night to clean puppy pads in her crate .
Last night she didn't do a poo before bed , but luckily we woke up and she was clean . She had her tea and I took her out no poo . She had gas so I took her out again no poo . Then she comes in and five mins later poo on the living room floor . Clean up and take her out she pees , then she pees again on the living room floor I caught her in the act so say no and take her out .
Again she has stinky bum so I take her out thinking she would poo nothing and then come in and she does it on the living room floor again . All this in the space of 3 hours . There were more trips out side in between .
The only thing I can think is the grass outside is really soggy and I don't think she's keen she's pooped in the house more times tonite than she has in the whole three weeks we have had her and she's now 16 weeks .
Any ideas or tips or is this just a puppy set back ?

When I first got Daisy it was a nightmare to get her outside in the rain, even now she waits till she's really needs to go! I would put it down to a bad day xx

Re: Having a bad day
I'd say it was just a puppy set back as you know they have them, if she's anything like darcy it'll be the weather, wet grass, wind all thing that darcy doesn't like perhaps that's why radar is having problems xx

Re: Having a bad day
I had this problem with Alfie on NYE - I would take him out for a toilet but because it was raining he just kept pulling back to the door or just sitting down and refusing to do anything, I gave up after about 15 minutes of wandering around the garden, came in and he did a HUGE wee on the floor - so frustrating! He really hates the rain, if I open the door for him to go out and it's raining heavily he'll run away from the door as if he's actually scared of it! Don't really know what advice to offer I'm afraid as I'm in the same situation, I just put it down to having a bad day and try to make sure the next day is better xx

Re: Having a bad day
As mentioned above, it's probably a combination of the wind and rain and wet ground that's making her uncomfortable outside. Bacchus was reluctant to go out for his late night toilet walk last night as ths weather was foul. But because he peed and pooed it meant I could relax and have a long lie this morning ( well 7.45 ).
Re the smelly bum....we seldom get smelly bum burps sinc switching him to BARF in November. ( Except when he stole a whole pound of raw chipolatas on Xmas Eve ).

Re: Having a bad day
Thanks guys just putting it down to a bad day and really praising her when she goes outside . I thought I could predict her poos as we had been able to up to a couple of days ago and she seems to be doing another one . She got fed at 6 last night , then did two poos between then and half 9 . This morning the other half let her out at 7 before work an I got up at 10 as I felt rotten and she had pooped in her crate and got it everywhere , my other half haven't fed her or anything so how is that possible ? Normally the routine is she goes all through the night and someone gets up at 8 and then we go back to sleep for a couple of hours and get up and let her out , feed her and then let her out for a poo .
I just want to crack the poos and pees on the crate . I want to get the puppy pad out but am worried she will do it on the blankets if there is no pad there ? Also when we have to leave her for four hours she sometimes does a wee , but if I take the pads out she will go on the blankets I bet ?
Any ideas ? Thanks

Re: Having a bad day
Sorry I can't offer advice here as Koda goes outside 99% of the time, and his crate is outside so on the odd occassion he does it there it doesn't matter so much, but hang in there it sounds like a small set back and I'm sure the weather is playing a part. x

Re: Having a bad day
Banes asked to go out today, 1st time very pleased with him. Had him 2 weeks, he's 16wks now. I found when I took him for toilet out side if he say down I would walk a few steps down the garden. I ignored all he done except one would which was toilet, now if I say toilet he will go out the garden. Only issue I have regarding toilet ing is he is scared of the dark so on nights I have to shine the tour he for him.
