I don't see anything wrong with a little scrambled egg, although I don't know about the tuna - it may be a bit rich for her at the mo. I used to give my pups porridge from about 5 weeks old, but that was a long time ago & I think it may be frowned on nowadays!

Instead of porridge give her rice pudding. Porridge is oats and has lots of energy so might make her a bit hyper. I give my pups rice pudding when they are being weaned. Try and get a low sugar one, if you can get brown rice in it all the better but I shouldnt worry too much! Scrambled egg is fine and if you want to give her fish try steaming a little bit of white fish and breaking it up in her bowl (I would say red, oily fish is a bit much for her tummy, as is raw).

Well Winston is nearly 8 weeks and here he is getting stuck into a carrot that was supposed to be Jethro's!! While we are on the subject Winston had the smallest few mouthfuls of sardines yesterday.. and he licked and licked the bowl for ages afterwards. Hope that wasn't too strong for his tummy.. he had no ill effects from it...

can't offer any advice sorry (got an older pup!) but I love your pic. of your 2 is she actually asleep on blade?!
And Vanessa, Winston looks so cute and has has the same skin 'spots' as Milo he also has the odd black fleck of black too all over randomly They remind me of my old mare....was once a beutiful dapple grey but has gone 'flea bitten' with age.....it basically means she's faded and is now completely white with quite uniform brown flecks all over her like our boys' black ones lol!

Hi Ardvark ..Just a question..is your mare still alive ?? I had a horse Carnaby ( he was a chestnut ) and I got him at 5 and he lived to nearly 27 !! A very very sad day when Carnaby died!

I have a mare too, but shes only 10 so shes going to be around for a long time yet! Shes my little baby, Millie May, shes chestnut too. I dont get to ride her as much as I'd like because she lives ten miles away near my mums house. Do you still ride Vanessa?

Re: foods to a 6 week old puppie
No, I haven't ridden since Carnaby died ( about 5 years ago ) I wasn't much of a rider.. me and Carnaby would just go for long rides through the bush...maybe a bit of a trot and on the odd occasion a canter... nothing too strenuous.. but we both loved it....He was half thoroughbred and half stock horse so he was really chunky. I loved him so much..... * sigh * ...
Give Milly May a carrot for me!!
ps if you go to the other pets section on this forum and scroll down.. you will see a post from me with some pics of Carnaby
