Puppy playing

Me and my 15 week old pup Alfie have come to stay with my parents for Christmas and they have a 6 year old staffy/lab cross called Dottie. When they first met Dottie totally dominated Alfie and he spent most of his time lying on the floor/hiding from her. The last few days though he is constantly going at her, jumping up at her and nibbling her face. His tail is always wagging and Dottie seems to love it, it just worries me that they'll accidentally hurt eachother! They would go at it all day if we let them! My dad has always had dogs and reassures me that they're only playing but just wanted a second opinion!

Sounds like typical play to me. Don't worry Dottie would put Alfie in his place if needs be.

Staffs do play rough   

Ah thank you everyone for reassuring me! Once I figure out how to post videos and photos I will do! just noticed Alfie has a bit of blood on his collar he is still going at it though so obviously hasn't learnt his lesson! They are both as bad as eachother, one of them stops and the other one winds them up again! I will just have to keep my eye on them thanks again everyone!

as said they do play rough!if your worried just keep a eye on them and if you think its getting a bit too much let them have a bit of time out

Bane plays with the Golden Retriever next door like that and they are getting rougher! It started with Bane jumping up all over him licking his mouth and trying to get in his mouth and the retriever just sort of rolling around with his mouth open! haha but now its turned into Bane trying to lick and bite his tongue, chops and ears! And the retriever getting his revenge by batting him away with his giant paws and pretty much getting most of Bane in his mouth just gently nibbling. They look really aggressive with their teeth all on show but don't do any harm So funny to watch!

Aww bless him! That sounds exactly like Alfie and Dottie! They look and sound so aggressive! It is funny though. Alfie just will not give in! You'd think he'd have learnt by now! They were brilliant last night, no scrapping at all, but tonight they have gone back to their usual tricks! I'm sure they will get there x

Ye all you hear is growling and wierd pig noises and all you see is teeth! Haha Bane and Sabre will go at it all day and still not give in for cuddles! You'd think they would be bored of eachother by now

Haha yes sounds about right! I know you'd think at least one of them would give in! They have had cuddles again tonight, so lovely to see
