A quiet puppy!!!
Hi, was wondering if Pebbles is just very good at being quiet or if it will change as she grows older.
She hardly ever barks. The only time we have heard a little barking in the past 3 weeks that we have had her is when she wants to play with the cat and she will bark and make little noises while wagging her tail.
Other than that she doesn't make a sound even when other dogs bark, when the postman knocks on the door or when the dustbin lorry come round and that usually sets off the dog two doors away.
Pebbles is indeed a very quiet puppy!
Are we just lucky or has anyone had a quiet pup who has suddenly turned into a barker?
Cheers.

Re: A quiet puppy!!!
They're all so different! Some are very vocal indeed, but others (like my old Bandit) are pretty quiet!
I think you're probably lucky to have one of the quieter ones.

I got Daisy as a rescue just over a year ago, she didn't really bark......at first! Makes up for it now!

Darcy's not really a barker unless something spooks her, she was a pretty quiet puppy too

Re: A quiet puppy!!!
Bruno hasn't barked yet. He makes a muffled growly noise when he's trying to play with my mums cat, and was whining and growling playing with a lab puppy at training class last night. Apart from that he's quiet!
He's a grumbler though. If something isn't going his way he'll mumble and grumble under his breath at me to get my attention!

Roxy was very quiet until about 4 or 5 months. She enjoys barking at the tiniest sound nowadays but is getting better. Vinny has just found his bark and howl but he's a bit lazy so he doesn't bother much

My girl doesn't bark, only when she is playing with her tray or a hedgehog.

Tip at four months found her voice and will bark when the older dogs do or when you suddenly come into the room where she is. Perhaps your one of the lucky ones like caryll said or it might chance as your puppy grows

Bacchus rarely barks but the strangest things set him off. A lady was at the bus stop over the road with her unbrella up the other day and that got him going.
