Depends on the food, I would say a year as they're still developing and need the extra nutrients in puppy food while they're still growing Smile

The food you've got him on should say when to change over - most of them do.

Mouse was on adult food from 5 months onwards. I have found from looking at a variety of dog and puppy food (same brands to compare) there is most the time not much difference in whats in them its just what form it comes in thats different.

Hollie weighs 14.5 kg and i'll probably keep her on puppy food until she's 12 months old

There's often quite a difference in protein & fat content. I'd go by what is recommended by whichever food it is!

Thanks everyone for your inputs, they are really helpful indeed. I will continue
with the puppy food for another year as I'm also feeding him mince beef- which he really loves.
