How hard is too hard?
I have an 11 week old english staffy Henry he is your typical puppy who is abit bitey. I also have 3 kids a 3, 5 and 6 year old do I am really strick on disciplining him when ever he does this. He never does it too me but does lightly to the kids. He is so so much better than when we got him at 9 weeks but some days he sooks all day cos he is on trouble!! I yelp at him ( the neighbours must love this cos I'm so loud!) tell him no yelling loudly then ignore him, if he keeps doing it he gets locked up, any thing else I can do to move things along??

It does sometimes take some time for it to sink in. Keep doing what you're doing and he should catch on soon enough.
One thing I would say though is that putting him in a crate or separate room, which is what I'm assuming you meant by locking him up, should only be used as a time out to let him calm down, rather than a punishment.
I'd always recommend that dogs should be supervised around children at all times. If he starts to get a little bit mouthy, step straight in and turn him away, with a firm 'no'. It can also help, if the child is on the floor, to move them to an area higher up, such as a sofa/bed/chair, as puppies very often associate play with people getting down to their level on the floor.

Yes if he has a crate please don't put him in there as punishment as it should be his safe place

I think your 'no' to him should be in a firm voice but not a shout, and I agree re the crate it's his' safe place not for punishment, just incase your using his crate to remove him he will get there I promise

Thanks for the advice I know I shouldn't put him away but sometimes when all else fails I just dont know what else to do. I will always be hard on the biting because of my children but some days I feel he hates me cos he is in so much trouble!

Once he learns he won't be in trouble anymore! Don't worry he is still so young, he'll start to pick it up soon, patience and consistence is key

I know it can make you feel really bad when you have to discipline your dog, but try not to worry! They don't hold grudges like we do, so he isn't going to resent you for it!
