Puppy no well :(
Two nights ago he woke up during the night and was sick twice,he didnt seem his normal self for parts of the day yesturday and last night he had diarrhea and vomiting.
Hes stomach is making rumbling sounds all morning.
Should i not feed him all day and see if it settles,or would you recommend giving him a boiled egg and nothing else all day and then see what hes like by tomorrow

Re: Puppy no well :(
As he is still only a pup I would be inclined to take him to the vet to get him checked out, they can get dehydrated extremely quickly at a young age. Hope he feels better soon.

Re: Puppy no well :(
Well he done a poo there and it was hard again,my girl put water in her hands to make him drink water then he went over to to bowl and drunk some,il spend all day making sure he stays hydrated.
It could be the beef mince i keep giving him, plus im putting it in the mircowave to heat it up slightly, plus he got smal bit of chicken yesturday,i have a feelin the reason that hes sick is my fault and not an actuall problem that needs checked out, that said however he will go to the vets first thing tomorrow if it starts again

Re: Puppy no well :(
You can also try feeding the pup a bowl of oatsmeal. My dad always do that when his dogs get a bit of runny tums. He normally adds honey to it as well

Re: Puppy no well :(
We only feed dry and sometimes add a bit of our cooked chicken with. Once a week all our dogs get brown rice and petmince cooked together. Once a day she gets a raw egg with her kibble. So far we been lucky and no upset tums

Re: Puppy no well :(
I'd stick to something light today that's gentle on his his stomach, I give darcy boiled rice & chicken, but some dogs are intolerant to chicken, so be careful, lots of water like you said

Thanks Darcy will do,
I havnt give him nothing yet and hes sleeping atm but i feel sorry for him im sure hes hungary,
My 15kg wainwrights came today so im looking to ween him off raw and back onto dry,i give him a tiny amount in my hand (like 5 pellets) and he ate them so hopefully he will just tuck in and enjoy his new forever food, its turkey and rice.
It also says puppy 2-18months so i ashume then that this type of brand is used untill 18months and is not needed to be changed to adult food like other brands at 12months.
Just need to find a good method to switch him over to dry over the course of a week

No need to nuke raw meat in the microwave - kind of defeats the object of raw feeding !
My 2 are raw fed and often served semi frozen meat ! They don't complain.

Re: Puppy no well :(
I know mate,i only heated it up a couple of times for 20secs just to bring out smell when he went fussy abit for a couple of days, problem with me is i make rash descions to try and get my dog to eat as its something i dont like when a dog goes fussy. anyway im getting away from raw feeding as its not for me and doesnt fit my circumstances.Jackieb wrote:No need to nuke raw meat in the microwave - kind of defeats the object of raw feeding !

Yeah i having a look on PAH and the composition and nutrition of all the dry foods i thought WW was a good option he seems to like it which is good but of course naturally hes being abit fussy with it because he hasnt had dry food in awhile, but hes eatting as much as i want him to eat before hes goes on full dry
Thanks - Caryll
