Is it normal play? Empty Is it normal play?

Ive never had two dogs at the same time before so not sure if this is normal or not?!
Daisy has been with us now 2 weeks and is 10 weeks old ( she is a Staffy x Patterdale) Belle is now 9 and a half months old and we've had her from 8 weeks old ( Belle is a pure Staffy) when they play Belle normally starts it with chasing pushing and mouthing Daisy( not biting)
Daisy plays along until she's had enough and then seems to get quite nasty! Biting Belle all over and to the point she has caused marks on her which then have scabbed up and I've put sudocreme on it ( she's never made her bleed thou)
Belle has never ever gone for her so I am assuming Daisy isn't hurting Belle!
Is this normal play and will Daisy grow out of it? I don't want her to be nasty and I don't want Belle to keep getting bitten!
They sleep together fine and kiss each other any other time except in play.
Many thanks Karen, Belle and Daisy xxx

Tommy is riddled with scars behind his ears from "innocent Tilly" how does Belle react when Daisy goes for it ??

She just wants to continue playing really to be honest she has never got nasty with Daisy or told her off! It's almost like Daisy is dominating Belle!!
Obviously if Daisy gets too nasty we stop the play and separate them.
But Belle is the one who always starts the play off by mouthing and pushing Daisy.
I know what you mean about the scars thou xx

I have never owned 2 together but it all sounds pretty normal from what I have read. If it gets too much separate them, sorry I can't help much more than that Xx

If Belle initiates play and Daisy gets too carried away then you are doing the right thing to separate them but sure Belle knows the limits , it sounds like exactly the same scenario as when Tommy was little and he did overpower Tilly most of the time but she respected the fact he was a puppy

Belle always starts the play but only ever with mouthing and pushing never biting its Daisy that bites and has marked poor Belle, but Belle keeps going back for more and never goes for or gets nasty with Daisy xxx
