The day has finally arrived!!

After a very long drive yesterday evening, and barely a wink of sleep... It's finally here! Puppy day!

We're picking up pup in less than an hour!!

No need to ask for pictures, I'm sure you'll all be sick of the sight of him by tomorrow hahahaha...

And he'll finally have a name

He's with us now.

He was due his lunch at 1 o clock but he won't eat it. The breeder told us he has biscuits soaked in puppy milk from a carton and mushed up a bit.
We've got him wainwright's puppy biscuits and had to buy the lactol milk because there wasn't any puppy milk in cartons and he won't touch it!
Is it because he doesn't like it, or because it's not the same as he had before or just because he's overwhelmed?
We've had to leave it for now, we have a four hour drive home which will take even longer with lots of puppy rest stops. Do we just wait until dinner time? Will he eat because he's hungry?
All he's done so far is sleep, wandered around a bit and slept some more. I think it's all a bit much for him.

I hate feeling like I'm doing something wrong!

Don't panic, he has just left his mum and litter mates and will need time to adjust and settle in Xx

As Janey said above, the poor little mite has a lot going on at the moment and it will take him a little bit of time to settle and adjust. Be calm and he will pick up on that

In regards to the milk, it is unlikely that a change of brand would cause any issues so long as the biscuits are the same as what he is used to.

He might be feeling a bit car-sick too!

Aww hope all goes well today and your new addition didn't mind the long journey home. Don't worry about the food situation it's probably quite overwhelming and perhaps once you get home he won't be able to resist.

I will post pictures as soon as we're home and settled, can't do it from my phone lol!

He's doing really well. We have just under two hours left to drive and he's slept most of the way so far. We're taking a break at the moment. He still hasn't eaten, but I'm more worried that he hasn't had a drink yet either and we've had him since 9am!
I'm sure he'll settle when we're home. It's a big day for everyone and must be very overwhelming for the little guy.

i'm sure he'll be fine when you get him home,give him time to settle in,he's had a big upheaval being taken away from his mum and brothers/sisters,bet you cant wait to get home
